With the harmonization of all systems worldwide at AccorInvest, m3connect is streamlining operations and facilitating the migration of all physical servers to the cloud, resulting in significant energy savings.

After the Motel One Group successfully established its new lifestyle brand, “The Cloud One Hotels,” as the first German hotel group in the USA, the opening of The Cloud One Hamburg-Kontorhaus marks another significant milestone. Our warmest congratulations on this success! We are proud that Motel One once again entrusted us with their IT planning expertise, allowing us to contribute to the development of this location.

In the past months, we were commissioned by the event agency MH Event GmbH to provide technological support for the centennial celebration of a globally leading company in the pharmaceutical and medical technology sector. Our responsibility was to equip the 7,000 square meter event venue with our private mobile network. The on-site program was extremely diverse and included live acts, food trucks, bouncy castles, and numerous other attractions.

The client’s request was to establish a swift and cashless payment system at the refreshment stands through our mobile network. To achieve this, we covered the area with wireless connectivity and deployed two 5G mobile transmitters along with a compact, mobile server box. Using the smartphones we provided, the food truck staff efficiently took and processed orders.

Another innovation involved integrating NFC chips, which were attached to the visitors’ admission wristbands and could be loaded with credit. With these chips, guests had the convenience of making payments without cash. The underlying software for the NFC payment system was provided by our partner, Ticketree.

Throughout the entire event, excellent network stability was maintained. The organizer was highly satisfied with the performance of our m3connect mobile network, and stimulating discussions about further potentials of the mobile network were held.

Following the promising success of our initial pilot project, our focus now turns to our next goal: the Rock in Rott Festival, taking place from September 1st to September 3rd, 2023. In addition to the proven NFC payment application, we are planning to integrate exciting new features into the m3connect mobile network – stay tuned!

As part of the mobile network measurement week, citizens in NRW were called upon to measure mobile network coverage and identify dead zones using an app provided by the Federal Network Agency. Companies are also often affected by dead zones and weak network availability, which is why they increasingly rely on our private 5G networks to make business processes faster, more reliable, and more efficient.

Since 2019, we have been pioneers in the mobile telecommunications industry, designing, constructing, and operating private mobile networks. We are excited about the opening of our new office in San Francisco, the opportunity to expand our presence in the US and be part of the growing technology and innovation community there. In addition, last year we celebrated the opening of our new location in Ras Al Khaimah, capital of the Arab Emirate of the same name, from which we serve our customers in the entire Middle East & Africa region.

Already since 2017, we have been implementing communication networks in hotels in the Gulf region, ensuring efficient operations and satisfied guests in the hospitality industry with the integration of WLAN, IPTV, access control, room and energy management systems and digital signage. Our network innovations for the hotel industry have been present at Arabian hospitality trade fairs and events for some time. For example, we have already equipped houses of customers such as the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) with innovative wireless and communications infrastructure. Artificial intelligence for radar systems to support police surveillance in public places and train stations, in short KIRaPol.5G. This is one of our company’s new 5G projects, which is funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia as part of the 5G.NRW competition. Together with the project partners IMST GmbH, Telefonbau Arthur Schwabe GmbH, the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences and various security authorities (Federal Police, Bavarian State Criminal Police Office, Mönchengladbach Police Headquarters), we are developing a concept in which public areas can be monitored in compliance with data protection requirements by using innovative technologies.
Instead of video systems, radar technology is increasingly used. Here, radio waves can be used to detect not only individual objects, but also their position and speed. In this case, it is not possible to draw personal conclusions, as could be the case with video surveillance using facial recognition. This results in a considerable advantage in terms of data protection. AI-supported pattern recognition will be used to read out people’s movements from the radar data, which will also make it possible to identify dangerous situations, among other things. For example, if a person is lying motionless on the ground, an alarm can be automatically triggered at the security authorities. In this way, emergencies can be quickly recognized and a correspondingly rapid response can be made.
In this project, we are responsible for the network infrastructure for transmitting the highly secured data streams. The radar systems are connected to the central components via the 5G network. The data collected there is then in turn transmitted via a highly encrypted connection to a cloud, from which the alarms are triggered to the security authorities in subsequent use cases. The pilot project will be the main train station in Mönchengladbach, including the forecourt.

We are very pleased that our partner companies also choose us when it comes to building their network structure. Our partner Zwo G GmbH has built a new headquarters in Viersen and has commissioned us to set up the network infrastructure for them there. We also set up the hardware for their telephony and their conference rooms. Zwo G GmbH is a waste management and recycling company with which we cooperate on our construction sites. We are looking forward to further cooperation together.

In addition to rooms with mini spas and comfortable box-spring beds, the design hotel also impresses with its individual interior in reference to Aachen’s past and present. As a long-time partner of Motel One, we are very excited about the hotel chain’s new location, which is just a few minutes’ walk from our headquarters. We have provided high-speed Internet lines for the property, expanded the WLAN across the board and installed 259 new smart TVs from Samsung. The use of the WLAN as well as the TVs runs via our self-developed platform conn4. So nothing stands in the way of a future stay with first-class WLAN connection as well as a wide selection of entertainment via the room TVs. After two years of “abstention” due to the pandemic, our m3 rockers were finally able to enjoy Germany’s biggest traditional festival again. A total of 40 m3 employees were among the 75,000 visitors and enjoyed an unforgettable festival experience. Headliners at the festival included Green Day, Muse and Volbeat. Other acts included Placebo, Måneskin, Marteria, Beatsteaks, Jan Delay, Scooter and other well-known top acts.
Those who stayed at home may hardly believe it at first, but the corporate success of m3 also benefits from the shared experience of such an event: In a great mood and cheerful celebratory mood, our colleagues proudly presented the company and symbolized team strength by hanging up the m3 flag and wearing our m3 hoodies, T-shirts and jackets uniformly. After all, this is not the case everywhere – a 2016 study by the AOK found that one in four respondents complained of a negative working atmosphere, and that this had a negative impact on productivity and motivation. We asked our colleague Daniel Stevens, who works at m3connect as Head of Account Management and describes himself as the “biggest fan of the campaign”, for what reasons the shared festival experience is important, and to what extent he believes it has a positive effect on the team and the company. We would like to present his conviction – as the initiator of the campaign – to you here verbatim:
“The annual festival visit to Rock Am Ring is a very special highlight, as the participating colleagues experience great and, above all, unforgettable moments together in an incomparable atmosphere. Weeks, even months in advance, the anticipation is shared à la “It’s finally coming soon!” and “Which bands do we want to see?”. On site, the camp is then set up together and lived in together for days. Great concerts are visited and it is laughed together extensively, sung, danced and celebrated. The festival visit welds together in a very special way and even creates one or the other friendship among the participants. Team building in a class of its own.”

This year’s IHA Hotel Congress will take place on June 29 and 30, 2022 at the Lindner Congress Hotel Düsseldorf. As a partner of the IHA Hotel Association, we will of course be there again this time. Our Sales Managers Rosaria Weiland, Avdo Iljazovic and Constantin Cremerius will be at our exhibitor stand to talk about our field-tested, forward-looking solutions. At the Hotel-Restaurant Schwanen in Metzingen we were able to implement a very special project together with ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH. The hotel of the Wetzel family, which features 71 guest rooms, a restaurant, a bar and a conference area, is currently renewing its network infrastructure with the aim of increasing its own hygiene standards. For this purpose, together with Assa Abloy, the manufacturer and supplier of locking solutions and security systems, we implemented a door locking system that allows guests contactless access to the guest rooms via app.

m3connect of course provided the necessary network infrastructure and the integration of the door locking system. Hardware from the renowned manufacturer Ruckus was used and the entire building was equipped with Ruckus R550 access points. The access points not only feature the latest Wi-Fi 6 technology (802.11 ax), but also an integrated IoT module, which allowed the door locking system to be directly and easily integrated into the network.

The Hotel-Restaurant Schwanen has been relying on m3connect’s services in the field of network infrastructure, WiFi and digital signage for many years. That means they benefit from great cost efficiency, operational stability and, above all, flexibility. After a year off in 2021, we were back at CES in Las Vegas this year to catch up on the latest tech innovations. This year, CES was dedicated to the two technological megatrends of the future: intelligent automation and developments in interactive online and on-demand consumer goods and services in the wake of the pandemic – the new Metaverse.

In addition, breathtaking screens with razor-sharp images using QLED and routers with moving antennas were presented, among other things. By realigning the antennas as soon as the receiving device is moved, the signal is constantly improved.

We had an exciting time with many new impressions and are already looking forward to the next CES.

Last week on Thursday we spent the evening together in front of our screens and held our – very popular with all colleagues – Christmas party. Everyone made themselves comfortable at home with mulled wine, warm soup, home-baked cookies and other goodies. With lots of virtual applause, we toasted to our successes this year and welcomed our newly added 2021 team members. We are very happy to announce that we were able to recruit 23 new colleagues to our team again this year! We also drew lots for our 3 lucky winners this year who will represent our company at the Hornschlittenrennen in Garmisch-Patenkirchen in early 2022. In doing so, we got to hear some funny stories from the past years and reminisced until late in the evening.

We are very pleased to welcome Seniorenresidenz Wuppertal as our customer. The residence with a total of 80 single rooms belongs to the Libento group and welcomed its first residents in October. At the house in Wuppertal, m3connect is now supplying the infrastructure for a comprehensive WLAN network with RUCKUS hardware. We are proud of the partnership that we just started and look forward to future joint projects.

We are very pleased that our team has gained some new smart heads during the last three months. Besides our new trainees Ilker, Silas, Jonas, Tom and Erik we could also welcome Maurice, Ahmet, Sven, Anita and Nikica. La nouvelle année de formation a débuté le 01.09.2021 et nous sommes heureux d’accueillir six nouveaux stagiaires dans nos équipes. Cela signifie que nous avons maintenant un total de 12 stagiaires dans leur 1ère, 2ème et 3ème année de formation. Pour la première fois, nous avons décidé de former des informaticiens pour les réseaux numériques, en plus de la formation d’informaticien pour l’intégration de systèmes qui existe depuis longtemps. Cette année encore, nous proposons la formation MATSE et la formation d’assistant de gestion des systèmes informatiques. En tant qu’entreprise de formation reconnue, nous investissons chaque année beaucoup de temps et d’énergie dans la formation de nos jeunes collaborateurs. Cela en vaut vraiment la peine pour nous : nos stagiaires sont intégrés dans les processus opérationnels dès le premier jour et deviennent ainsi rapidement des professionnels dans leur domaine et un soutien précieux pour nous. Au cours des cinq dernières années, 18 apprentis ont terminé avec succès leur formation chez nous. La majorité de nos stagiaires font toujours partie de l’équipe des années après leur formation. L’année dernière, par exemple, nous avons pu célébrer le 10e anniversaire de deux anciens stagiaires. Vendredi dernier, nous avons invité nos jeunes talents dans notre salle d’exposition avant même qu’ils aient commencé leur formation. Là, nos nouveaux apprentis ont fait connaissance avec notre niveau C, nos 4 formateurs ainsi que nos autres apprentis de 2ème et 3ème année. Autour de délicieuses brochettes de barbecue et de salades, ils ont appris à mieux connaître notre entreprise avant de faire une visite guidée de notre bâtiment et des différents départements à la fin. Le début de la formation est beaucoup plus facile lorsque vous connaissez déjà certains de vos collègues.

Nous avons investi dans 6 stations de recharge appartenant à l’entreprise afin que nos employés puissent recharger les voitures de l’entreprise et leurs voitures personnelles directement sur place. Pour donner le bon exemple, nous avons déjà 9 véhicules électriques et hybrides rechargeables dans notre flotte, ainsi qu’une autre voiture électrique comme voiture de pool. Nous espérons également que ce nombre augmentera à l’avenir en raison des options de recharge qui sont désormais disponibles.

Ouvert en septembre 2020, le nouvel hôtel Indigo Dubai Downtown offre un réseau sécurisé et fiable pour les clients et la direction. m3connect a connecté la nouvelle propriété d’IHG^® Hotels & Resorts au WLAN pour les clients “IHG^® Connect” et aux autres systèmes du propriétaire. La téléphonie sur IP, la télévision sur IP, le contrôle d’accès, les systèmes de gestion des locaux et de l’énergie, la signalisation numérique et bien d’autres choses encore ont été mis en œuvre et configurés sur la plateforme matérielle Cisco Meraki. Gérée de manière centralisée via le cloud, la technologie du réseau garantit des connexions très stables et fiables, améliorant ainsi l’expérience Internet des clients et la productivité de la direction de l’hôtel.

L’un des plus grands défis était l’intégration de plus de 15 services différents offerts aux clients en plus d’IHG^® Connect. Afin de sécuriser l’accès à chaque application individuelle, une séparation stricte a dû être assurée lors de leur intégration dans le réseau. m3connect, grâce à son expérience internationale, a coordonné les intégrateurs de systèmes impliqués et a assuré la réussite des travaux.

Pour KORIAN Deutschland AG, m3connect ouvre la voie à la numérisation des soins. D’ici juin 2021, 100 maisons de retraite KORIAN en Allemagne seront équipées d’un réseau WLAN et d’un réseau câblé.

Dans le cadre d’un projet pilote, un WLAN doté d’une puissante connexion Internet a été mis en place en moins d’une semaine au Betreuungszentrum Seidenhof Nettetal. À la suggestion du district de Viersen, le Betreuungszentrum Seidenhof Nettetal, en Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie, a été transformé, avant même son ouverture, en centre de quarantaine pour les patients atteints de Covid-19. Outre l’accès à l’internet pour les résidents, le réseau peut également être utilisé pour la numérisation des processus de soins afin de soulager la charge de travail du personnel infirmier et pour l’utilisation de la télémédecine. Un autre projet pilote a été lancé à la “Haus Lindental” à Krefeld. Ici, le réseau a été optimisé afin qu’il puisse également être utilisé pour les futures technologies IoT.

Lors du raccordement des maisons, m3connect minimise les efforts grâce à une utilisation intelligente de l’infrastructure existante. Le câblage LAN, coaxial et bifilaire est utilisé de manière optimale, en partie également dans des solutions hybrides.

Outre la mise en place de l’infrastructure dans les maisons individuelles, les maisons peuvent également être mises en réseau les unes avec les autres afin de consolider les lignes et de réduire les coûts.

La sécurité des données est garantie dans le réseau partagé par une séparation virtuelle des groupes d’utilisateurs. Les invités, les résidents, le personnel et l’administration communiquent dans des zones distinctes pour lesquelles des chemins d’accès et des tarifs différents peuvent être mis en place.

Avec un service de déploiement complet et un minimum d’efforts pour KORIAN, m3connect modernise les sites les uns après les autres. Dès que la centrale donne son feu vert, m3connect planifie et réalise l’extension en collaboration avec la maison de retraite concernée et prend en charge l’exploitation et la surveillance de l’infrastructure. Nous avons accueilli 17 nouveaux collègues sur notre site d’Aix-la-Chapelle lors de leur premier jour de travail et leur avons proposé une visite détaillée et détendue des bureaux en petits groupes ainsi qu’un échange personnel avec leurs supérieurs. Maintenant, grâce à des rencontres numériques, des tours de table et des événements de streaming décontractés, nous allons apprendre à mieux nous connaître et sommes impatients de travailler ensemble. Nous accueillons chaleureusement Kai, Paul, Brian, Ehsan, Amey, David, Christoph, Dennis, Umar, Selma, Lars, Fulya, David, Georg, Katharina, Frederik et Roy!

Pour marquer le début du printemps, nous avons donné le coup d’envoi de la saison des barbecues en grande pompe – numériquement, bien sûr! Du charbon de bois qui fume, une bière fraîche à la main et des mets délicats dans l’assiette: c’est ainsi que nous nous sommes amusés vendredi dernier et avons donné le coup d’envoi du week-end. Nos collègues se sont avérés être de véritables gourmets du barbecue et le chat en direct a été inondé de photos de plats savamment conçus.
Même si cela n’a pas eu lieu en présentiel, nous avons pu rire aux éclats ensemble, trinquer et profiter de la compagnie.

L’introduction de la norme de radio mobile 5G ouvre de nouvelles perspectives commerciales dans l’industrie et les services. Mais dans quelle mesure les applications à délai critique fonctionnent-elles de manière sûre lorsqu’elles passent d’un système radio à l’autre et comment concevoir efficacement le passage du WiFi aux réseaux pLTE ou aux réseaux 5G ? Une équipe créative de la division Cellular Solutions de m3connect a construit une maquette de voiture que m3connect utilise pour tester la mise en réseau de systèmes industriels.

La technologie 5G confère la fiabilité nécessaire aux robots de fabrication, aux systèmes de transport ou aux applications de réalité augmentée connectés sans fil. Il réduit le temps de latence à quelques millisecondes et permet de communiquer par radio avec des machines gourmandes en données, à condition qu’il ait été testé sur le terrain et qu’il fonctionne sans interférence, une exigence pour l’équipe de m3connect.

Aussi petite que soit cette voiture miniature d’environ 30 cm de long, son utilité est énorme pour démontrer la transmission de données. Équipéede capteurs, d’un moteur, d’une direction et d’un modem LTE, elle offre tous les prérequis pour les tests et les expériences sur la communication bidirectionnelle en temps réel. À bord se trouvent des capteurs de température, d’humidité et autres dont les valeurs sont transmises et traitées à titre d’exemple pour d’autres systèmes. Les données GPS peuvent également être transportées de la même manière. La maquette est contrôléevia un ordinateur ou un smartphone. Les données sont transmises via le protocole MQTT, qui permet également l’intégration dans le cloud de services IoT.

L’idée de construire une maquette est née du travail intensif sur les concepts d’introduction de la 5G dans l’industrie automobile. Les jeunes spécialistes entourant Justin Eichenlaub, responsable des solutions cellulaires chez m3connect, voulaient condenser les expériences antérieures et construire une plateforme d’apprentissage pour le développement de concepts de mise en œuvre efficaces. m3connect encourage les projets créatifs de ce type et laisse libre cours aux idées novatrices. Par exemple, notre ancienne stagiaire Heba Kashkash a jeté les bases de ce projet. Kai Mauckner, étudiant en master d’électrotechnique à l’université des sciences appliquées de Düsseldorf (HSD) et employé de m3connect depuis 2021, a ensuite mis en œuvre et supervisé ce projet.

Pour Kai Mauckner, la maquette de voiture prouve l’efficacité du concept m3connect: “Notre maquette de voiture veut démontrer la mise en réseau sans fil de systèmes industriels. Nous l’utiliserons pour analyser les transitions et les transferts dans le système radio et montrerons comment les mises à niveau de pLTE à 5G fonctionnent sans problème.”

Équiper les entreprises de réseaux LTE privés (pLTE) et 5G permet d’améliorer la productivité et de créer de nouvelles dimensions de la numérisation. Les résultats du projet modèle sont intégrés dans les concepts de mise en réseau pour la communication industrielle en temps réel développés par m3connect.

Dans la crise de Corona, les hôtels recherchent des moteurs de croissance et les trouvent dans la modernisation de leurs réseaux informatiques. Un groupe d’experts a présenté un rapport sur la pratique lors du Forum numérique de l’Allgemeine Hotel- und Gastronomie-Zeitung en février. Emilio Dragas, PDG de m3connect, et Niklas Unger, Directeur IT & Digital Business de B&B Hotels, ont expliqué comment B&B Hotels a mené la numérisation de ses propriétés. 1800 participants ont suivi leurs réflexions sur le changement d’infrastructure lors du congrès virtuel des hôtels allemands.

Le déploiement dans les B&B Hotels a été précédé d’une phase de conception intensive. Avant de mettre en place de nouveaux processus et un nouveau système de gestion des biens (SGP) dans 138 propriétés en moins de 6 mois, il a fallu jeter de nouvelles bases. “Nous avons d’abord défini les exigences du projet Future Network avec B&B Hotels”, a décrit Emilio Dragas de m3connect. “Nous y avons regroupé tous les objectifs importants tels que la bande passante et l’Internet à haut débit, la redondance et la résilience, le contrôle des performances et la transparence des accords de niveau de service, la sécurité et la capacité à fournir des applications et des services en nuage facilement et rapidement”. Tout cela devait être disponible non seulement pour les hôtels existants, mais aussi pour toutes les nouvelles propriétés. “Notre objectif était de créer un hôtel à partir d’une valise – c’est-à-dire de pouvoir fournir l’infrastructure complète à tout nouvel hôtel dans les plus brefs délais”, a décrit Emilio Dragas.

Niklas Unger de B&B Hotels a confirmé l’avance que l’infrastructure en réseau de m3connect rend possible “Un réseau proprement structuré crée la base d’une croissance ultérieure et de processus orientés vers le service dont le client bénéficie”.  Il a cité en exemple le traitement sans numéraire des services, que B&B Hotels s’efforce actuellement de développer afin d’offrir aux clients une valeur ajoutée supplémentaire.

Si la voie des B&B Hotels avec m3connect a été confirmée comme un modèle durable pour les chaînes hôtelières, la question pour les entreprises individuelles et les hôtels de vacances est de savoir comment elles peuvent se positionner pour suivre la tendance. Eux aussi “devraient faire le point”, a recommandé Emilio Dragas. Eux aussi “auraient besoin d’avoir une vue d’ensemble afin de diviser un gros investissement en plusieurs éléments”. À la fin du forum numérique, il était clair que les investissements d’aujourd’hui dans les infrastructures de réseau sont les bénéfices de demain pour les hôtels de toutes tailles.

En ce début d’année virtuel, le Congrès allemand de l’hôtellerie met en lumière le potentiel de numérisation des réseaux hôteliers. m3connect et B&B Hotels sont invités en tant qu’experts à présenter leur projet Future Network. C’est pourquoi conn4retail rend le concessionnaire Wi-Fi au client à son point de contact de marketing numérique : « Notre solution augmente la satisfaction de la clientèle en offrant une connexion Internet gratuite et fiable », explique Emilio Dragas, directeur général de m3connect. « Et le commerce accède au plus important espace publicitaire du client final. Un avantage au niveau du prix est l’intégration des systèmes déjà existants ou de nouveaux partenaires fournisseurs. « Nous intégrons les systèmes CMS ou CRM des clients de façon transparente », déclare Emilio Dragas. Grâce à l’intégration CMS, les informations des concessionnaires déjà existantes pour les campagnes en cours ou des publicités hebdomadaires sont intégrées. L’intégration CRM permet le couplage de la page d’atterrissage WiFi avec des programmes de fidélité, inscription à la newsletter ou d’autres programmes de fidélisation de la clientèle. « Nous nous engageons avec les processus existants du client et prenons donc partie de leur processus », a déclaré Dragas.

Un système global, facile à utiliser

En tant que solution cloud complète sur la base Wi-Fi, conn4retail offre non seulement une excellente connexion Wi-Fi, mais un lot de nombreux services dans un système complet et facile à utiliser. Lorsque le client entre dans le magasin ou une filiale populaire et sur le réseau local sans fil et optimisé, il peut utiliser pour tous les appareils un portail Wi-Fi pour des campagnes ciblées et le circuit de la publicité pour une communication de marque intégrée – à la fois sur les terminaux mobiles des clients aussi bien sur les écrans DS ou les étiquettes électroniques (ESL) du marchand. « Nos clients peuvent répondre à leurs propres clients le long du parcours client avec du matériel de marketing, au bon moment et au bon endroit », explique Emilio Dragas.

Le système permet une connexion Wi-Fi Big Data Analytics, lie les médias sociaux du concessionnaire et augmente le temps de séjour des clients dans le magasin comme une escorte qui divertit pendant leur temps d’attente. Les marchands peuvent élargir leur base de données pour envoyer des messages push sur les smartphones des clients quand ils reviennent, et comprennent des services basés sur la localisation.

Le EuroCis dans le cadre du EuroShop aura lieu du 5 au 9 mars 2017 à la foire de Düsseldorf. m3connect se présente là-bas avec son partenaire LANCOM Systems dans le Hall 6, Stand B52. Sur place, on trouve aussi un concept novateur soutenu par m3connect soutenu, le « marketing numérique PoS » sur le stand du partenaire LANCOM Systems : Il fusionne les hotspots Wi-Fi, la signalisation numérique et étiquettes électroniques à une campagne de marketing de la plate-forme de campagne intégrée pouvant être contrôlée dans les magasins de détail au centre et entièrement numérique. En magasin, de grands écrans indiquent les offres spéciales et transfèrent le même aux étiquettes électroniques pour les smartphones des utilisateurs finaux.

Aachen, 11. Januar 2017. Das Aachener Unternehmen m3connect, einer der größten WiFi Service Provider in Europa, wird auf der HotelExpo in Berlin vom 6. – 7. Februar seine integrierte WiFi-Lösung conn4 für Hotels präsentieren. Am gemeinsamen Stand mit dem Partner Loewe zeigt m3connect in Live-Demos einige ganz neue Features des conn4-Systems, das nun erstmals auch von Loewe gestützt wird und auf den Screens des deutschen Herstellers läuft. Besucher der HotelExpo können dabei auch eigene Inhalte aufs TV bringen, und zwar komfortabel über das eigene Mobiltelefon.

conn4 ist eine cloudbasierte Gesamtlösung auf WiFi-Basis, die extra für die Hotellerie entwickelt wurde. Sie bietet nicht nur exzellentes WLAN, sondern bündelt zahlreiche Leistungen, die den Gästen ihren Hotelaufenthalt angenehmer machen, in einem einfach zu bedienenden Gesamtsystem. Das System umfasst das Hotel-WiFi, das WiFi-Portal für Gäste, das Guest Infotainment System (GIS), Digital Signage, Cloud Printing sowie VoIP- und Video-on-Demand-Lösungen. Auch das Property Management System eines Hotels oder die Social-Media-Kanäle des Hauses oder einer ganzen Kette lassen sich damit langfristig und ohne hohe laufende Kosten steuern.

Über ein zentrales Dashboard lassen sich alle Konfigurationen, Funktionen und Inhalte auf allen Displays mit Leichtigkeit verändern und managen – für Hotelketten in allen angeschlossenen Häusern weltweit. „conn4 hilft den Hotelbetreibern, persönlicher und zielgerichteter mit ihren Gästen zu kommunizieren, passgenaue Informationen und Entertainment-Inhalte anzubieten. Die eigene Marke, Produkte und Dienstleistungen lassen sich zudem mit conn4 erfolgreicher vermarkten“, so Emilio Dragas weiter.

Ein schnelles und umfassendes WLAN-Angebot ist zum wichtigen Faktor bei der Buchung und späteren Bewertung von Unterkünften durch ihre Gäste geworden. „Hotels können sich heute eine schlechte digitale Infrastruktur nicht mehr leisten“, sagt Emilio Dragas. Ohne WLAN keine Lieblingsmusik, keine Filme beim Lieblingsanbieter, keine Updates von Freunden, kein kollaboratives Arbeiten in der Cloud.

Neu: Screen Mirroring auf Loewe-Bildschirm im Zimmer und sichere PAN-Steuerung

Zwei ganz neue Funktionen, die das Gesamtsystem conn4 ergänzen, präsentiert m3connect erstmals auf der HotelExpo: Screen Mirroring bzw. Air Play sowie AAA-gestütztes PAN (Personal Area Network). Beim Screen Mirroring können Besitzer von Android-Geräten Inhalte von ihrem Smartphone über das Hotel-WiFi direkt auf dem Loewe-Bildschirm im Hotelzimmer wiedergeben. Gleiches geht mit Air Play von Apple-Geräten wie dem iPhone.

Zudem ermöglicht conn4 den Aufbau eines geschützten Private Area Networks (PAN), das durch vorherige Authentifizierung und Autorisierung sowie später mögliche Abrechnung der Dienste beim Nutzer (AAA) gesichert wird. Auf diese Weise können Gäste über das sichere Hotel-WLAN zum Beispiel vom Konferenzraum aus die Klimaanlage im Zimmer steuern oder vom Zimmer auf Inhalte des Konferenzraums zugreifen und eigene Geräte wie Laptop und Smartphone verbinden.

„Unsere Kunden bekommen die beste WLAN-Lösung“, sagt Emilio Dragas, und verweist auf  aktuelle Studien, bei denen von m3connect ausgestattete Hotels regelmäßig auf den vorderen Plätzen landen. Der Geschäftsführer ergänzt: „Wir verschmelzen die gesamte digitale Infrastruktur in einem System. IT-Landschaften in den Hotels werden vereinfacht und die einzelnen Marketing-, Entertainment-, Informations- und Kommunikationslösungen werden zusammengeführt.“

Selbst erleben können Fachbesucher der HotelExpo diese Gesamtlösung im Rahmen von Live-Demos, die m3connect am Stand präsentiert. Dabei können sie auch ihr eigenes Smartphone zum Einsatz bringen, um einige der Funktionen auszuprobieren, die das System bietet.
Die HotelExpo findet am 6. und 7. Februar 2017 im Berliner Hotel Intercontinental, Budapester Straße 2, statt. M3connect präsentiert sich dort gemeinsam mit seinem Partner, dem Screen-Hersteller Loewe, an Stand 26.

Die Nominierten für die neun Kategorien stehen seit dem 2.11.2016 fest und wir sind stolz mit unserer Gesamtlösung conn4 zu den Finalisten der Kategorie 2b „Best Converged Network Infrastructure“ zu zählen. Nun fiebern wir gespannt der Preisverleihung am 16.11.2016 in San Jose auf dem Wireless Global Congress entgegen.
