m3connect becomes IT partner for the first TRIBE Hotel in Germany
As the IT partner of the Chocolate on the Pillow Group, we are pleased to announce that we will immediately take over the operations of the TRIBE Hotel in Baden-Baden. Under the leadership of the Chocolate on the Pillow Group and as part of the Accor Group, TRIBE Hotels aims to establish itself as a leading provider in the lifestyle hotel industry with over 50 hotels in various European cities. Their main focus is on creating innovative travel experiences that meet the needs and expectations of modern travelers—functional, stylish, design-oriented, and with a balanced price-performance ratio.
A significant step in implementing this expansion strategy is the upcoming opening of the first TRIBE Hotel in the German-speaking region in Baden-Baden. We are proud to be providing the technical infrastructure for this hotel.
Our responsibilities range from providing Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity to implementing state-of-the-art television and entertainment solutions, including an IPTV headend and a satellite system. Network security is our top priority, which is why we use redundant core components to ensure failover safety.
However, our service offering goes far beyond technical implementation. We provide TRIBE Hotels with comprehensive network monitoring and reliable support to ensure smooth operations in the long term.
Digitalization is also an essential part of the TRIBE strategy. The focus is particularly on automation to ease the burden on guests and offer contemporary amenities, such as digital check-in and electronic hotel payment processing. These measures are intended not only to increase efficiency but also to give TRIBE Hotels staff more freedom to focus on guests and make their stay more personalized.

Exciting developments: TASCAN Systems GmbH has rebranded to m3connectmedia GmbH
Aachen, 11. Juli 2024 – TASCAN Systems GmbH, well-known for its expertise in conference and presentation systems, media technology, and network technologies, will now operate under the name m3connectmedia GmbH. As a subsidiary of m3connect GmbH, this rebranding marks a significant step in its strategic development and strengthens integration within the m3connect group of companies.
With over 30 years of experience, TASCAN Systems has been a leading technology integrator serving customers across Europe, particularly in the hospitality sector, residential and care facilities, clinics, as well as educational and conference centers.
The acquisition by m3connect was announced in the middle of last year, driven by extensive overlaps between m3connect and TASCAN Systems, particularly in the hotel industry. m3connect has been able to leverage TASCAN Systems’ long-standing expertise in the sectors it serves.
Looking ahead, m3connect and m3connectmedia will operate as distinct entities: m3connect will continue to lead in network solutions and expand its services in this domain. Conversely, m3connectmedia will focus on innovative media solutions such as Inroom TV, Digital Signage, and customized conference solutions. This clear specialization in network and media solutions allows both units to concentrate fully on their respective core competencies, ensuring transparent services and optimal customer support.

The Cloud One Hamburg-Kontorhaus celebrates its opening with m3connect as IT partner
After the Motel One Group successfully established its new lifestyle brand, “The Cloud One Hotels,” as the first German hotel group in the USA, the opening of The Cloud One Hamburg-Kontorhaus marks another significant milestone. Our warmest congratulations on this success! We are proud that Motel One once again entrusted us with their IT planning expertise, allowing us to contribute to the development of this location.
For The Cloud One Hamburg-Kontorhaus, we have provided high-speed internet connections and expanded the Wi-Fi coverage comprehensively. Additionally, we have installed TVs in all 457 rooms, equipped with our customized TV portal in the corporate design of The Cloud One Hotels. The seamless use of both Wi-Fi and the TV portal is facilitated through our platform “conn4.” This ensures a stay with top-notch Wi-Fi connectivity and a diverse selection of entertainment options through the in-room TVs. Simultaneously, we have developed a network concept to ensure the highest data security. By building redundancies in critical components and implementing a backup solution, we have taken additional security measures to guarantee the stability and integrity of the system.
The Motel One Group has already achieved impressive successes with its expansion into the USA, and the opening of The Cloud One Hamburg-Kontorhaus in January is another reason for pride. The longstanding partnership and trusting collaboration mean a lot to us. We wish a successful opening and look forward to continuing to accompany and support the Motel One Group on their journey.
Premiere of our 5G Network for Event Locations
In the past months, we were commissioned by the event agency MH Event GmbH to provide technological support for the centennial celebration of a globally leading company in the pharmaceutical and medical technology sector. Our responsibility was to equip the 7,000 square meter event venue with our private mobile network. The on-site program was extremely diverse and included live acts, food trucks, bouncy castles, and numerous other attractions.
The client’s request was to establish a swift and cashless payment system at the refreshment stands through our mobile network. To achieve this, we covered the area with wireless connectivity and deployed two 5G mobile transmitters along with a compact, mobile server box. Using the smartphones we provided, the food truck staff efficiently took and processed orders.
Another innovation involved integrating NFC chips, which were attached to the visitors’ admission wristbands and could be loaded with credit. With these chips, guests had the convenience of making payments without cash. The underlying software for the NFC payment system was provided by our partner, Ticketree.
Throughout the entire event, excellent network stability was maintained. The organizer was highly satisfied with the performance of our m3connect mobile network, and stimulating discussions about further potentials of the mobile network were held.
Following the promising success of our initial pilot project, our focus now turns to our next goal: the Rock in Rott Festival, taking place from September 1st to September 3rd, 2023. In addition to the proven NFC payment application, we are planning to integrate exciting new features into the m3connect mobile network – stay tuned!
